Design For The People Shapes Pendant, designed by Maria Berntsen for the Shapes range, pairs mouth-blown opal glass with a polished brass oval frame for a modern, jewellery-inspired pendant. This ceiling-mounted pendant is made for interior living spaces where soft, sculptural lighting is needed.

The design plays with geometric forms — a slightly organic opal glass sphere sits within a stadium-shaped brass frame under a flared matte-black canopy. The contrast between reflective brass, soft white glass and the dark canopy gives the pendant a refined, architectural presence.

Crafted with mouth-blown opal glass and precision brass hardware, the Shapes pendant shows considered detailing: small brass fittings secure the globe and the open-frame keeps the lamp visually light. The hand-formed glass gives a subtly asymmetrical, artisanal character.

Light is soft and glare-free thanks to the opal glass shade. The fitting accepts E27 (G45) bulbs and works beautifully with a warm 2700K, 470 lm lamp for a cosy, diffused glow that suits dining areas, bedrooms or layered living-room schemes.

Bulbs are not included. The pendant can be dimmed when used with a compatible dimmable E27 bulb and suitable dimmer. Suspension height is adjustable at installation via the thin black cable. The canopy is matte black and the fitting is rated IP20 for indoor use. Manufacturer warranty: 2–15 years.
