Design For The People Aver 40 Pendant, designed by Carlo Volf, is a sculptural ceiling pendant that blends modern minimalism with an industrial edge. The Aver 40 fills a room visually while remaining airy and transparent, making it ideal for living and dining areas that need a stylish focal point.

The pendant features a bulbous shade formed from numerous thin, curved vertical metal wires that create a rhythmic, geometric silhouette. The wire cage is open at the bottom and tapers into a sleek cylindrical socket housing, finished in matte black for a contemporary, pared-back look.

Built to highlight form and function, the Aver 40 uses the strength of its metal construction to stay lightweight yet substantial in presence. The repetitive vertical ribbing and minimalist frame emphasise the raw beauty of the bulb and create a refined, architectural aesthetic.

Because the bulb is fully visible, the Aver 40 produces generous ambient light and striking shadow play across surrounding surfaces. It is compatible with E27 bulbs, including globe styles such as G95 or G125, and can be dimmed when paired with a dimmable lamp and compatible dimmer.

The fixture suspends from a black electrical cable and is designed for indoor use (IP20). Manufacturer warranty varies by region (2–15 years), and installation should be performed by a qualified electrician to ensure safe ceiling suspension and wiring.
