The Foscarini Twiggy Outdoor Floor Lamp, designed by Marc Newson as part of the Twiggy range, translates the sweep of a fishing rod into an outdoor-ready cantilevered floor lamp. Its dramatic arc and grid-style shade make it a statement piece for terraces, patios and covered gardens.

The freestanding design pairs a long, fibreglass-based composite rod with a large cylindrical diffuser formed from manually plied composite ribbons arranged in a lattice. It is available in Carmine and Greige, creating a bold sculptural silhouette in either colourway.

Thoughtful material choices underline the build quality: multichip LEDs are mounted around an aluminium frame that acts as a heat dissipator, a laser-engraved transparent PMMA sheet and an opaline PMMA disc help scatter the light, and the round base is polyester powder-coated metal for UV and weather resistance.

In use the Twiggy Grid delivers direct downward illumination while the open lattice shade casts subtle, textured shadow patterns across surfaces. The design positions light over seating or dining areas without a central pole, making it ideal for outdoor living spaces.

The lamp is supplied with a black neoprene electrical cable that includes a transformer on the cable and a Schuko plug; it also has a terminal board without a push-button panel. Three ballast weights are supplied to fine-tune diffuser height and additional arc-extending rods are available on request. Rated IP65 for outdoor use.
