The Foscarini Tress Pendant is a Marc Sadler‑designed suspension lamp from the Tress range by Foscarini. Its craft-led form — a truncated cone shade woven from a fibreglass-based composite ribbon — makes it a decorative ceiling pendant that provides both direct and diffused illumination for interior spaces.

Visually the Tress is defined by an irregular interweaving of bands that create blocks and voids. The woven, semi-open mesh produces a textured silhouette and is offered in Greige, Black and White. The fixture is supported by stainless steel suspension cables with a transparent electrical cord; larger versions use three cables for stable levelling.

Built using a tape-winding process, the composite ribbon is modelled around a mould and liquid coated to a satin matte finish, giving a sculptural yet lightweight feel. The contrast between the rigid wound ribbon and the delicate transparent cable is a deliberate design detail.

Light filters through the gaps in the weave to cast a patterned play of light and shadow while the open top and bottom deliver direct upward and downward light. In the larger Tress variants an internal blown glass diffuser with an acid-etched finish further softens the output for a more even glow.

Fitted for indoor use with an IP20 rating, the pendant includes a ceiling canopy with a galvanised metal bracket and gloss chromed ABS cover. A canopy decentralisation kit is available for grouping multiple pendants (options for up to six or nine fittings).
