Foscarini Nuee Pendant

Foscarini Nuee Pendant is a sculptural ceiling pendant designed by Marc Newson for Foscarini. This cloud-like suspension lamp uses a technical three-dimensional fabric to create a lightweight, amorphous form that works as both an ambient and task light for interior ceilings.

The shade has a voluminous, irregular silhouette formed from layered, crinkled three-dimensional fabric in white PBT, producing a textured, organic surface. The fixture hangs from three thin steel suspension cables and features transparent electrical cables with a white ceiling canopy for a floating effect.

Internally the lamp is built on a liquid-coated steel and aluminium structure. Both the upper and lower LED boards sit on an aluminium disc that acts as a heat dissipator and are protected by a small PMMA disc, while the deformable PBT fabric can be subtly modelled during installation to refine the look.

The Nuee employs a dual-directional LED system: internal LEDs softly illuminate the fabric from within while a circular light source and translucent disc at the base provide focused downward light. Foscarini designed the LED boards to deliver superior colour rendering and a halogen-like colour temperature for natural, pleasant illumination.

The luminaire is rated IP20 for interior use and is attached to the ceiling canopy by three steel cables; an electric decentralisation kit is available. Please check lead times with the sales department. The product carries a 1 year manufacturer warranty.
