The Foscarini Nuee Suspension Lamp is a cloud‑inspired pendant designed by Marc Sadler. Built around a voluminous three-dimensional textile envelope, this Foscarini suspension light delivers diffused ambient illumination with a focused downward glow for residential and commercial interiors.

Its amorphous diffuser is formed from layered white PBT technical fabric, shaped into deep folds and an irregular, cloud-like silhouette. The deformable textile can be modelled by hand to alter the profile and create subtle variations in shade and shadow.

An internal structure of steel and aluminium supports the fabric volume and houses two purpose‑designed LED boards mounted on an aluminium dissipator. A small PMMA disc protects the lower light source and the unit is suspended from a white ceiling canopy by three steel cables and transparent electrical wires.

The dual LED configuration illuminates the textile envelope from within while also providing directed light downwards, giving a soft ambient wash plus useful task lighting beneath. The LED boards were developed to offer excellent colour rendering and a warm, halogen‑like colour temperature.

The fitting is rated IP20 and attaches to the ceiling via three independent suspension cables; an electric decentralisation kit is available. The LEDs are integrated into the luminaire; please consult the product specifications for details on dimming or driver inclusion. The product carries a 1 year manufacturer warranty.
