The Foscarini Mite Floor Lamp is an award-winning floor lamp designed by Marc Sadler for Foscarini. Its tall, tapering silhouette uses an innovative fibreglass glass fabric combined with carbon thread or Kevlar to create a sculptural, totem-like light that works as both object and source of warm, indirect illumination.

Visually the Mite is exceptionally slender and elegantly tapered, narrow at the base and widening toward the open top. It is available in Yellow and Black finishes, each defined by the craft-applied thread pattern that wraps the translucent body.

Craftsmanship is at the heart of the design: threads are applied by hand onto glass fabric to form a fine, linear texture. An internal metal rod provides structure while a brushed steel upper parabola locks the diffuser and acts as an internal reflector. The lamp sits on a nickel-plated steel base.

Light is diffused through the translucent body for a soft glow along the lamp’s length while the open top projects an intense, warm beam to the ceiling for indirect ambient lighting. The result is a comfortable, atmospheric wash ideal for living rooms, lounges and reception spaces.

The transparent cable is fitted with an original Foscarini dimmer that gives gradual dimming and acts as the on/off switch. The lamp is rated IP20 and comes with a 1 year manufacturer’s warranty.
