Foscarini Caboche Pendant

Foscarini Caboche Pendant is a suspension pendant by Foscarini, designed by Eliana Gerotto and Patricia Urquiola. The Caboche Plus version restyles the original into a lighter, more transparent ring that turns overhead illumination into a sparkling, decorative centrepiece ideal for living and dining spaces.

The design features a horizontal torus body made from a dense arrangement of clear PMMA spheres mounted on transparent polycarbonate arches. The crystalline composition refracts light to create depth and a jewel-like presence while keeping visual weight to a minimum.

Build quality is apparent in the layered construction: powder-coated steel sheets house a double-sided LED board on an aluminium dissipator, protected by an opaline disc on top and a satin-finish diffuser below. Spheres attach with a secure twist-lock system that streamlines maintenance.

Lighting is provided by an integrated double-sided LED board that projects light both upwards and downwards for balanced, diffused illumination. The satin bottom diffuser and opaline top disc soften output while the clear spheres add sparkle through refraction, making the pendant suitable for ambient and decorative overhead lighting.

Installation uses a three-point suspension with thin steel cables and an integrated electrical cable that runs alongside the supports; the fixture includes a white ceiling canopy and an electric decentralisation kit is available. The Caboche Pendant is rated IP20 and intended for indoor use only.
