Foscarini Buds Table Lamp

Foscarini Buds Table Lamp is a sculptural table lamp from the Buds range by designer Rodolfo Dordoni. Its elongated, bulbous blown-glass diffuser and transparent support make it a standout piece for interior ambient lighting, showcasing the quality of Italian design and craft.

The lamp’s form contrasts a glossy, hand-blown glass diffuser with a thick, milled PMMA cylinder base that creates the illusion of the glass floating. The diffuser has a noticeable top aperture and the visible globe becomes part of the lamp’s aesthetic; the warm-white version appears ivory when lit and remains white when off.

Built with a hand-blown cased five-layer glass diffuser and a mirror-polished PMMA base, Buds combines artisanal glasswork with precise machining. The glass is secured to the base with a cup-shaped ring nut and the base is supplied with a transparent protective film and a scratch-resistant pouch for cleaning and storage.

The internal pale, straw-yellow glass layer gives a warmer, more saturated light, producing soft, even diffusion ideal for living rooms, bedrooms and other interior spaces where gentle ambient light is desired. The open top allows upward emission while the translucent shade softens glare.

Practical details: the lamp is IP20 rated and requires a retrofit white globe bulb (bulb not included). For Buds 1 a 12 cm diameter white globe is recommended. The transparent electrical cable exits through an oblique groove in the base and includes an ON/OFF switch. A one-year manufacturer warranty applies.
