The Foscarini Birdie Floor Lamp, designed by Ludovica Serafini and Roberto Palomba, reinterprets the classic lampshade silhouette with a contemporary twist and is intended for interior ambient and task lighting.

It pairs a tall, slender vertical stem with a tapered cylindrical drum shade to create a clean, modern profile. A small branch-like protrusion near the top adds a playful, nature-inspired accent; the example shown here in vibrant turquoise highlights the lamp's confident monochrome look. The Birdie is offered in multiple colourways to suit different interiors.

Finished in a high-gloss, lacquered surface, Birdie achieves a seamless visual transition between the opaque stem and the semi-translucent shade through a unified pigment treatment. The flat, circular base and smooth surfaces are engineered for a refined, stable presence.

The semi-translucent drum shade diffuses light softly for comfortable ambient illumination while the height and position of the shade make the lamp suitable for reading and other task lighting. Birdie works well in living rooms, bedrooms and reading nooks where even, inviting light is desired.
