The Foscarini Big Bang Pendant by Enrico Franzolini and Vicente Garcia Jimenez is a bold suspension lamp that reads like modern sculpture. Part of the Big Bang range, this pendant creates an architectural play of surfaces and shadows and is ideal for making a statement in larger living, dining or reception spaces.

The design is formed from an asymmetrical, deconstructivist assembly of overlapping rectangular and trapezoidal plates that create a fragmented, multi-dimensional volume. The Big Bang is offered in L and XL variants and is available in White as a finish option; the pictured model shows a vibrant red and matte white colourway that highlights the lamp’s graphic presence.

Plates are made from a rigid material with a smooth, uniform surface finish, giving the fixture a crisp, sculptural quality. The pendant is suspended from the ceiling by a thin vertical support wire and a separate undulating electrical cable, creating a light, floating effect.

The overlapping arrangement of plates is designed to obscure the central light source and diffuse illumination through the gaps, while inner surfaces reflect light to emphasise the lamp’s sculptural form. This creates warm, ambient decorative lighting suited to contemporary interiors where form is as important as function.
