The Foscarini Big Bang Pendant, designed by Enrico Franzolini and Vicente Garcia Jimenez, is a sculptural suspension pendant that treats light as architecture. Its chaotic, geometric volume is made to play the starring role in larger interiors, where it delivers both direct downward illumination and ambient glow.

The design is built from multiple irregular, intersecting translucent methacrylate slabs that form an asymmetrical, 'explosion' of planes. It is available in Red and White; the red version is silk-screen printed on the outside to achieve its saturated depth of colour.

Craftsmanship is clear to see: the slabs slot together using purpose-designed couplings and attach to an epoxy powder-coated white aluminium plate that houses the light source. The pendant suspends by two stainless steel cables with a transparent electrical cable, and includes a canopy with a galvanised metal bracket and epoxy powder-coated white metal cover.

Big Bang provides direct light onto the surface beneath while also filtering and colouring light through its translucent panels to create rich shadows and a warm wash across the room. The internal aluminium plate produces a bright central glow while the slabs deliver diffused, atmospheric illumination.

Installation-ready details include the suspension cables and canopy; a canopy decentralisation kit is available. The fixture is rated IP20 for indoor use and comes with a 1 year manufacturer warranty. Check product technical details for specific wiring and mounting guidance.
