The Elstead Fragment Pendant is a drum-style ceiling pendant designed by Paul Gruer for the Fragment range. Inspired by finds from the French Market in New Orleans, this pendant pairs a simple cylindrical form with an artisanal, aged surface to bring character to living rooms, dining areas and other indoor spaces.

The pendant features a rigid drum shade hand-painted in gold leaf and finished with a glazed, distressed patina that shows horizontal cracking and dark vertical glaze streaks. It is offered as part of the Fragment family and complements interiors that favour vintage accents and textured metallics.

Craftsmanship is central to the design: the shade is finished with an intentionally imperfect, antique gold and brass palette with dark brown glazed accents. A decorative cast-textured cross finial sits where the slender suspension rod meets the top of the drum, adding a distinctive, found-object signature to the piece.

Light is directed downward through the open base while the opaque drum sides minimise lateral glare, creating useful task and ambient illumination. The interior of the shade is finished in a smooth white material to optimise light reflection from the single centred light source.

The pendant is ceiling-suspended on a slender vertical rod that matches the gold-toned finish. It is rated IP20, making it suitable for indoor, dry locations; specific lamp type and installation requirements are shown on the product page.
