The box is designed to accept two standard electrical modules side-by-side and features multiple pre-cut circular knockouts in the back and sides for flexible cable entry. The sides include integrated mounting lugs with screw holes to fasten a faceplate, and one sliding side lug allows levelling when fitting to uneven substrates.

Built from galvanized steel, the box has a rigid construction and a mottled silver-grey finish that resists corrosion and offers long-lasting performance. The interior base carries an embossed "APPLEBY" logo as a clear manufacturer mark.
