The Astro Messina Outdoor Wall Light from Astro's Messina range is a contemporary take on the classic box lantern. Its slim rectangular silhouette and transparent sides make it ideal for architectural facades, entryways and patio walls where style and visibility matter.

Design-wise the fixture features a narrow rectangular cuboid metal frame with clear glass panels on all four sides, emphasising transparency and an industrial-meets-modern aesthetic. It is available in Bronze and Textured Black to suit a variety of exterior schemes.

Built with a metal outer frame and small visible fasteners at the corners, the Messina shows careful, honest detailing. The internal bulb sits in a vertically oriented cylindrical socket with a dark metallic finish, keeping the bulb as a central design element.

Lighting is provided by a single, elongated Edison-style filament bulb; the clear glass panes allow maximum light output and 360-degree horizontal visibility, making the fixture as much about ambience as illumination. The open-frame approach is designed to showcase decorative bulbs and deliver warm, characterful light.

The fitting mounts via an integrated backplate that sits flush against the wall. It carries an IP44 rating for protection against rain and splashes and is covered by a three-year guarantee, though the guarantee does not apply to installations within five miles of the coast or in high-salt environments.
