The Astro Io Pendant is a handcrafted linear ceiling pendant from Astro. The Io range centres a long, horizontal cylindrical glass tube with longitudinal fluting; the result is a refined, architectural profile that performs as ambient ceiling lighting for dining areas, kitchens and living spaces.

Designed to keep the glass as the visual hero, the pendant suspends on two thin vertical cables attached to discreet matte black fixtures. The asymmetrical ceiling arrangement combines a small circular rose with a larger rectangular canopy for a modern, intentional look.

Handcrafted clear, fluted glass creates a tactile, ribbed surface while the mounting and structural details are metal-finished in matte black. Electronics and fixing points are kept deliberately hidden so the quality of the blown glass stands out.

The fluted surface diffuses and refracts the internal light source to create a patterned play of light and shadow across the tube and surrounding surfaces. It is designed primarily for ambient illumination and to add decorative interest to contemporary interiors.

Installation uses two suspension cables and the larger rectangular canopy houses the electrical components and driver that power the internal light source. The fitting is rated IP20 for indoor use, has a CRI of 90 for accurate colour rendering and carries a three-year manufacturer warranty.
