The Anglepoise Original 1227 Floor Lamp is a floor lamp from Anglepoise's Original 1227 range, designed by George Carwardine. It blends the classic Anglepoise silhouette and constant-spring articulation with modern detailing and is intended for precise task and reading illumination.

The design pairs a conical, flared-rim shade with a three-part articulated arm mounted on a vertical pole for an industrious, anthropomorphic look. It is available in Jet Black, Linen White and Dove Grey to suit a range of interiors.

Built in metal with traditional chrome fittings, the lamp uses a recognised triple-spring formula to balance flexibility with structural stability. A braided fabric cable runs neatly along the arm and the shade has a white interior to optimise light reflection.

Key dimensions: shade diameter ⌀14cm, shade height 16cm, max reach 72cm (from pole to shade), base diameter ⌀26cm, pole height 90cm and cable length 200cm. The lamp is rated IP20 and is designed for indoor use as an adjustable task light.
